Clean and simple with strong colour accents —
the AAKS branding, photoshoot and website-build was a fresh take on the Candy Black signature style. The Ghanaian bag brand was always going to require a strong but sensitive handling of colour in order to best represent its African heritage whilst maintaining the minimalist finish so often associated with the luxury sector.
To reflect the individual crafted nature of the product, the AAKS brand font was also hand-created, applied as weaver signatures to the white swing tags, while the luxe and vibrant still-life product shoot injected that essential colour character. In collaboration with photographer Cara Johnson (herself of African beginnings) the images take pride of place as focal points for the website, acting as the ultimate showcase for the women's accessory.
