What we did: Branding / Website
Our previous design explored big imagery with a focus on texture, Ryan’s expressive mark making and liberal palette. As an accompanying feature, his brand identity borrowed these accents to create a very abstract, linear depiction of his name.
This time around the emphasis was on a more classic approach and certainly something more akin to the Candy Black signature style. With clean, crisp white backgrounds, a sensitivity to negative space and a simple, bold approach to font selection, Ryan’s latest global icon-themed portraits sit proudly, on their own terms, emulating that of a gallery visitor’s experience.
